Federal Govt making allout efforts to bring economy back on track: minister

\nFederal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs, Engr Amir Muqam on Sunday said that providing relief to masses was the top priority of the Government.
\nTalking to various delegation at his Fizagut office in Swat district, Engr Amir Muqam said that record devolopment projects were completed by the PMLN Govt in Swat.
\nHe said these projects have brought positive changes in people of the region. He referred to Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital Manglawar Swat, roads, electricity and gas projects that facilitated people of Swat immensely.
\nHe issued spot directives on some applications of people and heard their problems patiently.
\nThe people thanked the Minister and assured full support.
\nMeanwhile, Federal Minister for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs and States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), Engr Amir Muqam on Sunday said that Federal Government was making untiring efforts for revival of the economy and promotion of trade and investment in the country.
\nAddressing the concluding session of the two days Swat Trade Show 2024 as Chief Guest in Mingora Swat district, he said that the trickled down effects of the Govt prudent economic and fiscal reforms have started viable and the price hike was slashed down to a single digit which is a great triumph indeed.
\nHe termed the Trade Devolopment Authority of Pakistan (TDAP)\u2019s efforts for empowerment and promotion of local businesses besides economic development of the region was important.
\nEngr Amir Muqam said that Swat trade show would help provide opportunities to local traders in expansion of their bussiness and attract investment besides enhancing the country\u2019s economy significantly.
\nThe Federal Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was making solid efforts to resolve the economic issues in the country, he said, adding the Prime Minister and his team was making untiring efforts to put the country back on road to economic prosperity.
\nReiterating the sacrfices rendered by the people of Khyber Pakthunkwa especially of Malakand Division and Swat for peace and stability of Pakistan, Amir Muqam said that agitation politics of PTI was no solution to the KP\u2019s problems and expressed the hope that focus would be made on the law and order situation besides resolution of the masses problems in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nHe claimed that huge amount was being spent on carrying out of malicious propganda on social media against state institutions which was highly deplorable.
\nHe said that politics of hooliganism and propganda against state institutions was not in the country\u2019s interest, hoping that PTI would use the Govt resources on welfare of masses rather than aimless sit ins and staging agitation marches in Islamabad.
\nHe said that then PTI Govt has put the country into the verge of bankruptcy while the Shehbaz Sharif Govt in its past 14 months tenure had saved the country\u2019s from an economic default.
\nThe Minister said that the economic situation has started improving in the country and foreign investment are coming to Pakistan.
\nThe measures taken by the Shahbaz Sharif Govt are being praised in world and Pakistan economic outlook improved significantly.
\nEngr Amir Muqam said that Federal Government was ready to cooperate with KP Govt in all sectors including law and order and health.
\nHe said that people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa has given mandate to PTI for resolution of their problems rather carrying out an uncalled for agitation politics for the release of PTI founder.
\nEngr Amir Muqam said that PTI has disappointed people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa as it failed to deliver on all fronts. The Swat trade show was held from December 28- 29, 2024, at Nakreezay Event Complex, Mingora, Swat. Earlier, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive of TDAP and Sheryar Taj, Secretary TDAP along with Muhammad Naseer, Senior Director General and Noman Basheer, Director General Peshawar welcomed the Minister.
\nMuhammad Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive TDAP emphasized on the importance of trade shows in promotion of trade and economic development.
\nHe said that such shows were instrumental in economic empowerment of the local business community and enhance trade and development across diverse sectors and regions of Pakistan.
\nMotiwala discussed at length about the rich heritage, culture and craftsmanship of Swat and its potential in economic growth of the country.
\nThe event took place after eight years of gap, aims to promote trade, commerce & investment opportunities in Swat and the surrounding regions and is a shining example of TDAP\u2019s dedication to empowering local businesses and promoting economic growth in the region.
\nThe event bring together businesses, entrepreneurs and investors to showcase their products and services in an international mode on more than 80 stalls. It offers business to business (B2B) meetings and networking opportunities. Trade Development Conference on trade- related topics, cultural performances and traditional food stalls are the allied trade promotional activities on the very occasion of the two days Trade show.
\nThe Swat Trade Show 2024 remained open to the public and admission was free in these two days.
