\nAdviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif on Wednesday said that free treatment has been provided to 789,721 patients through the health card from March to December 2024 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nHe said that the PTI led provincial government reactivated the health card program that was closed during the caretaker period of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government.
\nHe expressed these views while commenting on the annual performance report of the KP government, adding that as soon as the provincial government assumed power the health card program was restored and supply of medicines worth Rs 5 billion has been ensured in government hospitals.
\nHe said that a life insurance program has been started in the province and Rs 1 million will be given to the relatives of those who died under the age of 60, while Rs 5 million will be given to the relatives of those who died above the age of 60.
\nMr Saif further said that a debt management fund has been established to reduce the burden of debts and a huge amount of Rs 7 billion has been approved for technical training of police in merged districts.
\nSimilarly, Rs 1 billion has been approved for CTD and a package of more than Rs 7 billion was given in Ramadan, from which more than 728,000 families benefited.
\nHe said the provincial government operated special flights for people stranded in Kyrgyzstan, through which 1408 stranded Pakistanis were safely brought home at a cost of Rs 143 million.
\nKP government spokesperson Barrister Saif furthered that interest-free loans of Rs 3,000 million were being provided to make the youth unemployed.
\nThe KP Home Department\u2019s public service app \u201cDastak\u201d has been recognized internationally, while the Food Security Support Project has also been introduced at a cost of Rs 25 billion.
\nBarrister Saif said that the number of scholarships has been increased from 253 to 500 students, and the scholarship amount has also been increased from 1500 to 3000.
\nThe KP government has started work on 17 new housing schemes in the province, which consist of 38,630 plots. Similarly, work has also been started to establish a Provincial Regulatory and Distribution Company to supply electricity directly to industries.
\nA task force and a control room have been established in the Chief Minister\u2019s House to keep the youth away from addiction.
\nWith the efforts of the government, shelter homes and shelter homes have been rehabilitated and arrangements were made for Sehri and Iftar for fasting people in shelters at a cost of Rs 20 million during Ramadan.
\nMore than one billion rupees have been distributed among the deserving people in 115 constituencies during Ramadan and Rs 10,000 has been given to each person.
