PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has reported a remarkable 45 percent increase in its revenue collection for the first half of the fiscal year 2024-25, amounting to Rs24.2 billion. This is up from Rs16.7 billion during the same period last year. According to KPRA\u2019s media wing, Rs18.15 billion was collected from sales tax on services, reflecting a 24pc growth compared to Rs14.6 billion in the previous year. Additionally, the Authority\u2019s Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC) collection surged by 189%, totaling Rs6.07 billion, up from Rs2.1 billion in the same period last year. Fouzia Iqbal, Director General of KPRA, lauded the efforts of the Authority\u2019s team for their dedication and hard work, which she credited for this outstanding performance. She expressed confidence that, with continued strategic efforts, KPRA would not only meet its annual revenue target but exceed it. \u201cI am confident that with our sustained efforts and strategic approach, we will surpass this year\u2019s target.
