\nIn response to a tragic suicide incident at the historic Islamia College Peshawar, a special counseling center has been established for students, as announced by the institution.
\nThe responsibility for student counseling has been assigned to the psychology department, said an official handout. Additionally, religious scholars will deliver sermons aimed at providing spiritual guidance to the students, as stated by the Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi.
\nThe minister emphasized the importance of raising awareness among students about their psychological well-being alongside their academic duties. He also noted that the sermons by religious scholars would contribute to guiding the students in a holistic manner.
\nKhan further reiterated the importance of focusing on both education and co-curricular activities for students\u2019 overall development.
