\nAn important meeting held here on Friday with Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Sarmad Saleem Akram in the chair, reviewed the transition of brick kilns to modern zigzag technology.
\nThe meeting, held in light of the provincial government\u2019s orders, aimed to address environmental concerns and ensure safer, more efficient eco-friendly brick production in the provincial capital, said a handout.
\nThe representatives of the brick kiln union and other stockholders also attended the meeting.
\nThe meeting thoroughly discussed the potential environmental threats posed by traditional brick kilns units in Peshawar and explored the benefits of adopting zigzag technology as a solution.
\nDeputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram emphasized the importance of positive action from brick kiln owners to ensure both safety and enhanced production efficiency.
\nHe urged the brick kiln union representatives to take all necessary steps to facilitate the transition and prevent any adverse environmental impacts.
\nThe meeting also reviewed the government\u2019s broader environmental policies and assured kiln owners that they would receive guidance and support throughout the process.
