\nChief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary jointly chaired with the Prime Minister\u2019s Focal Person for Polio Control Ayesha Raza Farooq, a high-level video link meeting on measuring polio-control measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the wake of emerging cases in the province.
\nThe meeting, attended by the Federal Secretary Health, Commissioners of D.I. Khan and Bannu Divisions, concerned Deputy Commissioners, law enforcement officials, and provincial and federal polio program representatives, focused on the polio situation in the southern districts of the province.
\nHealth officials briefed on initiatives put in place to counter polio in the afflicted areas while outlining a future strategy to augment the campaign. The briefing made mention of joint efforts, highlighting the involvement of local elders and influential figures with an objective to maximizing community engagement and ensuring vaccination for every child.
\nChief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary addressed the attendees on the need for public cooperation in the fight against polio, saying that: \u201cPublic support, cooperation, and involvement are indispensable in the fight against polio. Our goal is to ensure that every child receives polio drops\u201d.
\nPrime Minister\u2019s Focal Person for Polio Control Ayesha Raza Farooq reiterated that eradicating polio is a national mission. She urged all stakeholders to work together and praised the dedication and hard work of polio workers, stating, \u201cThe complete eradication of polio requires collective efforts.
