CM Gandapur chairs a special meeting on Kurram issue

\nChief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss matters of law and order situation in the restive Kurram district.
\nThe meeting reviewed the current situation and made several critical decisions to improve law and order situation in the district and ensure access of essential goods, especially food items to the people affected by the unrest.
\nThe meeting was attended by Chief Secretary (CS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home, and other relevant officials, said an official handout.
\nThe forum accorded approval to resume the demolition of illegal bunkers in Kurram district which will be continued till end of the ongoing month.
\nThe meeting also emphasized the role of the Jirga in clarifying the responsibilities of the signatories regarding the implementation of the agreement. Compensation for victims of the Bagunn incident will be contingent upon their cooperation with the government and district administration.
\nThe decision to take action against terrorists and militants on both sides of the region was confirmed, with arrests to be made based on FIRs.
\nThe civil administration and police will lead these efforts, with support from other law enforcement agencies. Additionally, a plan for temporary and permanent recruitment in the area will be finalized.
\nThe restoration and beautification of Bagun Bazaar will begin immediately and advisor to the CM-KP on information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif will oversee the project at the provincial level, said the statement.
\nMoreover, the provincial government will reactivate the Standing Monitoring Committee to ensure peace restoration efforts in the district. The meeting also called on the political leaders and elected representatives to play their due role in peace restoration in the area and support the government peace initiatives.
\nRegular monitoring visits will be conducted to oversee the demolition of bunkers and the welfare of temporarily displaced persons and additional police personnel will be deployed to ensure security, the meeting resolved.
\nFurthermore, the meeting stressed that any elements that disturb peace or aid in the disruption will face legal action, and effective counter-propaganda measures will be implemented.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
