\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary of Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, announced that the party has given the government until midnight to come to the negotiating table. However, he clarified that \u201ctalks are on hold until further notice.\u201d
\nAkram clarified that the fourth round of negotiations with the government would only resume if a decision was made regarding the formation of a judicial commission.
\nAddressing a news conference at the Information Cell in the Peshawar Secretariat, Mr Akram slammed the amendments to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) as a \u201cblack law\u201d that undermines the Constitution of Pakistan.
\nHe warned that PTI will resist this attempt to control the party through social media restrictions. The PTI leader criticized MQM and PPP for their hypocrisy on media freedom and revolution.
\nAfter the negotiation process with the incumbent government came to a halt, the decision on the future of the protest will be made by PTI\u2019s founding chairman, Imran Khan, he said and added that PTI has clarified that it was not engaged with anyone except the government.
\nSheikh Waqas Akram announced that PTI\u2019s MNA Adil Bazai has been reinstated, following a Supreme Court decision. Akram also expressed concern over the difficult circumstances faced by Bazai\u2019s family in Balochistan.
\nA systematic propaganda campaign has been launched against Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founding chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, and a response will be given. Meanwhile, he said, efforts were underway to unite political parties with a coherent vision, which will play a significant role in the country\u2019s assembly.
\nSheikh Waqas Akram further said that the attack on Sahibzada Hamid has harmed the negotiation process with the government, adding that PTI will not hold negotiation with the government if their leadership were given no respect and their democratic rights were violated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
