\nChief Executive of the Abaseen Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr Mukhtiar Zaman has announced the inauguration of the Abaseen Foundation Degree College in Shamshatoo village Peshawar. According to a statement issued here the college, which will eventually become Abaseen Foundation University, is the first of its kind to be established in the remote part of the provincial capital.
\nThe Abaseen Foundation UK and Pakistan, partners in supporting rural communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have provided education, healthcare, and humanitarian relief for over 20 years, the statement said.
\nDr Zaman credited the college\u2019s development to the generous donation of Dr Qadir Bakhsh MBE and Mrs Rukhsana Bakhsh, longstanding supporters of the Foundation\u2019s work.
\nDuring the inauguration, Mrs. Rukhsana Bakhsh praised the Foundation\u2019s comprehensive approach to community development, highlighting its focus on education, health, and welfare for the people of Shamshatoo.
\nShe expressed her pride in the Foundation\u2019s vision of bringing higher education to the doorstep of Shamshatoo\u2019s children, especially girls, and encouraged emulating this model across Pakistan.
\nHelen Bingley, OBE, Chief Executive of the Abaseen Foundation UK, thanked the Bakhsh family for their contributions and recognized the volunteers and donors who have made these initiatives possible. She also noted the Foundation\u2019s prestigious recognition, including the Queen\u2019s Award for Voluntary Service in 2018.
