\nA convoy of 120 vehicles carrying relief goods has been dispatched from Tehsil Thall to Kurram and Parachinar.
\nAccording to the district administration on Sunday, the relief supplies include food items and other essential commodities.
\nIt stated that the convoy was sent after clearance from security forces. Security personnel and representatives from the district administration are accompanying the convoy, which departed from Thall Cantonment towards Parachinar.
\nDeputy Commissioner Gohar Zaman confirmed that the convoy, consisting of both small and large vehicles, includes food supplies, medicines, and daily essentials.
\nMeanwhile, District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Khalid assured that strict security arrangements have been made for the convoy, with security personnel deployed at various points along the route.
\nBusiness leader Syed Nijat mentioned that another convoy carrying food supplies has also departed from Hangu to Parachinar, comprising over 100 vehicles. These include trucks loaded with food, medicines, and daily essentials.
\nOfficial sources reported that today\u2019s convoy does not include fuel tankers or gas cylinder transport vehicles. A separate convoy for petroleum and gas supplies is expected to depart tomorrow.
\n80 bunkers demolished, compensation cheques distributed in Kurram
\nA total of 80 bunkers have been demolished in Kurram District as part of ongoing efforts to restore peace in the region.
\nAdditionally, compensation cheques were distributed to the families of martyrs.
\nAccording to the district administration on Sunday, 25 more bunkers were dismantled recently, bringing the total number of demolished bunkers to 80 since the implementation of the peace agreement. Heavy machinery is being used to carry out the demolition process.
\nThe administration further stated that 14 more families of martyrs from Lower Kurram received compensation cheques worth one million rupees each.
\nDeputy Commissioner Kurram emphasized that so far, nearly Rs. 60 million have been distributed among the families of martyrs and other victims of terrorist incidents.
