\nAbaseen Foundation on Sunday marked its 15th anniversary with an event titled \u2018From Dream to Reality 2009-2025.
\nThe celebration brought together former and current Board of Governors (BOG) members, pioneer contributors, school principals, teachers, administrative staff, and well-wishers to reflect on the foundation\u2019s achievements and its impact on education.
\nWhat began as a small primary school in 2009 has grown into a thriving educational organization, providing quality education to underserved communities, particularly girls. Over the years, the foundation has become a symbol of hope, demonstrating that with dedication and teamwork, ambitious dreams can be achieved.
\nThe event featured inspiring stories from key figures who played pivotal roles in the foundation\u2019s growth. Mr. Said Man Sher, the first Director of Rahim Education Complex, recalled the early challenges and achievements. Mr. Muhammad Zahir Shah, a founding BOG member, spoke about the importance of teacher training in maintaining educational standards. Mr. Tahir Khattak, who oversaw the foundation\u2019s infrastructure, shared how every brick laid was a step toward a brighter future. Dr. Rukhsana Farooqi, a founding member, highlighted the generosity of donors, while Mr. Ahmad Zaman, Director of Procurement & Infrastructure, emphasized the importance of resource management.
\nThe chief guest, Brig (R) Gulman Sher Afridi (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), founder of Abaseen Foundation, reflected on the foundation\u2019s humble beginnings and its evolution into a degree college. \u201cWhen we started, we dreamed of educating girls in this region. Today, seeing how far we have come fills me with pride,\u201d he said. He credited the foundation\u2019s success to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.
\nProf. Dr. Mukhtar Zaman, Visionary Founder and CEO of Abaseen Foundation Pakistan, concluded the event with a vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to Abaseen Foundation UK and its supporters, Mr. William Bingley and Ms. Helen Bingley, for their contributions. He also thanked the BOG, pioneer members, and staff for their relentless efforts. \u201cThis is not just my achievement; it\u2019s ours. Together, we have built something special,\u201d he said.
\nThe celebration included a shield-giving ceremony, where BOG and pioneer members were honored for their contributions. Staff members were also recognized for their dedication.
