\nAwami National Party (ANP) Central President Aimal Wali Khan has expressed deep concern over the indifference and negligence of both the central and provincial governments regarding the security of the people of Pakhtunkhwa.
\nIn a statement issued here ANP leader lamented the tragic loss of innocent lives in the recent Bannu terrorist attack, stating that the residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly those in the southern districts, continue to live under the constant threat of terrorism, violence, and insecurity.
\nCondemning the Bannu attack, Aimal Wali Khan criticized the silence of mainstream media on what he described as the systematic massacre of Pakhtuns. He alleged that this silence proves the existence of a wider conspiracy against the community. He further expressed disappointment over the divisions among Pakhtuns, stating that their lack of unity, political awareness, and ignorance of their rights are contributing to their ongoing suffering.
\nAimal Wali Khan questioned the seriousness of the authorities in addressing terrorism, pointing out that while it was labeled a national issue, no concrete steps have been taken to combat it effectively.
\nHe stressed that the sacrifices of the people of Pakhtunkhwa in the fight against terrorism were consistently ignored and called for immediate, practical measures to improve law and order in KP, especially in the southern districts.
\nHe urged the government to clarify whether the lives of the people of Pakhtunkhwa hold any value and demanded immediate action to safeguard their security. He also called upon political parties, civil society, and the general public to unite in solidarity against terrorism.
\nAimal Wali Khan reiterated that ensuring the safety of Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s people is the primary responsibility of the provincial government, and any failure in this regard would be a betrayal of the nation.
