Islamabad(PR):Pakistan Post and National Accountability Bureau (awareness and prevention)conducted a joint awareness workshop on awareness and prevention initiatives of NAB with special focus on \u201csay no to Corruption\u201d campaign at auditorium of ECO Postal staff college Islamabad, on 4 th August 2016, says a press release issued by Pakistan Post Office department.
\nThe say no to corruption awareness workshop was attended by 60 postal officers from BPS 16 to 22. It also included female officers and probationary officers of postal group from civil services of Pakistan. The audience also included thee foreign postal managers from ECO countries of Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The chairman \/ Director General of Pakistan Post Mr. Fakir Shaharyaruddin in his opening remarks emphasized the need of change of mindset in the society at childhood, school, college and university level.
\nHe emphasized the need of training from home to education by family and teachers to inbuilt the awareness of saying No to Corruption at all levels. He also committed to print the slogan of Say No to Corruption on all local and international mail.
\nMs. Aliya Rashid, Director General NAB in her presentation highlighted the need on awareness and prevention of corruption with special emphasis on importance of saying no to corruption.
\nShe highlighted the role of mothers, wives and females in motivating to corrupt male members of the family and society to say no to corruption. She also highlighted initiatives taken by NAB to create awareness amongst the general public through seminars, talks, books and advertisements.
\nShe added that Pakistan is the leading country to adopt \u201cay No to Corruption\u201d logo on postal stamp, utility bills, CNIC carrier papers, driving licenses, ATM Machines, Railway Tickets, Airport Screens and nwspapers of Baluchistan and GilgitBaltistan etc. A story book and coloring book have also been printed for children.
\nShe also suggested and shared a road map for Pakistan post in helping eradication of corruption through the following steps.
\n? Displaying Banners at all Post Offices of Pakistan carrying message \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d
\n? Printing \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d on all domestic envelops
\n? Displaying \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d message on uniforms of Postmen ? Printing of message \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d punching machine
\n? \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d message be written on all Post Boxes installed at through out the country.
\n? Say NO to Corruption message to be flashing on all the screens installed in Post Offices
\n? Printing of \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d on letter heads of Pakistan Post
\n? Printing of \u201cSay No to Corruption\u201d on Tender Notices and Advertisements published in daily
\nnewspaper.
\nThe awareness workshop ended with the resolve and commitment by all officers of Pakistan post that they will work together as a team to eradicate the evil of corruption from Pakistan and make it a corruption free society for the generations to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
