{"id":467534,"date":"2025-03-17T16:21:33","date_gmt":"2025-03-17T11:21:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=467534"},"modified":"2025-03-17T16:21:33","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T11:21:33","slug":"pakistans-it-workforce-capable-of-competing-at-global-market-pm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/pakistans-it-workforce-capable-of-competing-at-global-market-pm\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan\u2019s IT workforce capable of competing at global market: PM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan\u2019s IT talented workforce has the capability to compete at the global market while all necessary facilities were being provided to IT companies to achieve the target of $25 billion in IT exports.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister expressed these views during a meeting with a four-member delegation led by Jerome Kapelus, CEO of the renowned American multinational IT company, Afiniti that called on him, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister welcomed Afiniti\u2019s interest in further investment in Pakistan\u2019s IT sector and suggested to Afiniti Pakistan to establish a world-class call center in the country for national and international clients.<\/p>\n<p>He further informed that he was personally overseeing programmes to equip the country\u2019s talented youth with IT, AI, and other advanced technical skills.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja and senior officials from the relevant institutions were also present during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation appreciated the expertise of Pakistani IT professionals and their dedication to the sector\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>Jerome Kapelus said that Pakistan\u2019s IT sector was highly suitable for investment and business and currently, more than 1,000 highly skilled and capable Pakistani professionals were working at Afiniti Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that Pakistani youth possessed immense potential to contribute to the growth of the IT sector, adding Afiniti\u2019s success in the region was due to Pakistan\u2019s professional and well-trained workforce.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan\u2019s IT talented workforce has the capability to compete at the global market while all necessary facilities were being provided to IT companies to achieve the target of $25 billion in IT exports.
