Tarakai vows to meet 1 million enrolment targets

\nProvincial minister for education Faisal Khan Tarakai has affirmed that the target of enrolling 1 million children set for this year\u2019s admission campaign will be achieved.
\nHe announced plans to conduct a survey for data collection on out-of-school children and directed the appointment of temporary teachers through Parents-Teachers Councils where teacher shortages exist
\nProvincial minister for education also directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to submit daily reports on student enrolment, warning that action will be taken against any DEO failing to meet the target.
\nDuring an online meeting with DEOs, Minister Tarakai urged parents, imams, local elders, political leaders, and the public to cooperate in bringing children to schools, emphasizing the importance of addressing the issue of out-of-school children.
\nThe minister also highlighted that the recruitment process for 16,000 teachers would soon be completed to address staffing gaps.
\nHe stressed the importance of accurate student enrolment data during the campaign and directed education authorities to ensure proper record-keeping.
\nTarakai emphasized special focus on admissions in merged districts and for female students, ensuring no child is left without education.
\nHe also ordered the Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) to launch a campaign for the registration of unregistered private schools and introduce an amnesty scheme for those with long-standing registration issues.
\nTo ensure smooth data management, he instructed the Education Management Information System (EMIS) to upload enrolment data daily and set up monitoring committees at the Directorate of Education and Secretariat levels.
