\nIn celebration of International Women\u2019s Day, a seminar titled \u201cWomen and Technology\u201d was held at the Business Incubation Center of the University of Peshawar.
\nThe event was organized by Karishma Zakaullah, with the support of Google\u2019s Women Techmakers program and in collaboration with the Code Business Incubation Center.
\nThe seminar brought together female students, particularly from art and design backgrounds, to explore the expanding opportunities in digital technology.
\nThe primary aim was to encourage young women to embrace digital tools and skills, paving the way for remote employment and financial independence.
\nThe event was attended by professionals from the IT Board of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, technology experts, and accomplished women from diverse fields.
\nThe speakers emphasized the importance of utilizing digital platforms for entrepreneurship and job creation, particularly at the domestic level.
\nDr. Shakeel, Director of the Business Incubation Center, emphasized the importance of empowering students with digital skills to help them become self-reliant. \u201cOur goal is to equip students with modern technological knowledge so they do not need to depend on others,\u201d he said.
\nIn her address, Karishma Zakaullah highlighted the urgent need to introduce female students to the digital realm, acknowledging the challenges women face in the field, but also stressing the potential for progress through resilience and determination. \u201cWe are committed to supporting the girls of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in gaining digital skills alongside their education,\u201d she said.
\nAfshan, the first female industrialist of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, shared her inspiring journey that began with digital marketing and encouraged young women to follow similar paths to success.
\nStudents expressed their gratitude to the organizers, stating that such events provide valuable exposure to modern digital technologies and open doors to future opportunities.
