\nAdvisor to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif has strongly criticized the federal government, stating that human rights violations have become a daily occurrence in Pakistan since the \u201cregime change\u201d.
\nHe warned of a potential resurgence of terrorism, which, he said, had been effectively eradicated during the tenure of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
\nSpeaking to media representatives, Saif said, \u201cPakistan is facing international isolation, while the people are crushed under the weight of historic inflation.\u201d He claimed that before the change in government, the country was progressing steadily under Imran Khan\u2019s leadership.
\nSaif noted that electricity prices, which stood at Rs 15 per unit during the PTI government, have now surged to between Rs 40 and Rs 50 per unit.
\nLikewise, petrol prices have increased from Rs 150 to nearly Rs 260 per liter, while essential food items have become unaffordable for the average citizen.
\nHe mocked the current administration\u2019s recent announcement of a minor Rs 7 reduction in electricity rates, calling it a hollow attempt to distract from earlier hikes.
\n\u201cThose who once protested against petrol at Rs 150 are now selling it at Rs 260, even though global crude oil prices are significantly lower than during Imran Khan\u2019s time,\u201d he said. \u201cBased on international market rates, petrol should not cost more than Rs 100 per liter in Pakistan.\u201d
\nCalling the current leadership a \u201cfake government,\u201d Saif held it responsible for what he termed as Pakistan\u2019s economic collapse and deteriorating social conditions.
