\nSpecial Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Industries, Abdul Karim Tordher has stated that the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) holds critical importance for the development and industrial prosperity of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nSpeaking at the CPEC seminar organized by China Window at a local hotel in Peshawar on Tuesday, Karim Tordher emphasized that regions directly traversed by the CPEC route deserve priority and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must be given special attention in this regard.
\n\u201cCPEC is not merely an economic initiative; it is a symbol of the deep and enduring friendship between Pakistan and China,\u201d he remarked. Karim Tordher praised China Window for organizing the event and for its continued efforts in promoting Pak-China relations.
\nHe noted that the provincial government has taken concrete steps to develop the industrial sector and create an investment-friendly environment. He cited the Rashakai Special Economic Zone as a successful example of such initiatives.
\nHighlighting the province\u2019s potential, Karim Tordher said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is ideally positioned for investment due to its rich natural resources, skilled workforce and strategic location. He extended an invitation to Chinese investors to explore the province, invest here and help generate employment opportunities for its youth.
\nHe further stressed that CPEC has helped China uplift its underdeveloped regions, and in keeping with the spirit of the project, similar focus should be given to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for inclusive development and poverty alleviation. \u201cThis land is our home and our future,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are committed to making every possible effort for its economic stability and progress, he added.\u201d
\nDuring the second day of the seminar, Karim Tordher also distributed souvenirs among participants.
