Farmers voices must be heard, and their grievances addressed without delay: Kundi

\nGovernor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday expressed solidarity with farmers across the country, highlighting that the plight of farmers in his province is no different from those in Punjab.
\nGovernor Kundi acknowledged the growing concerns among the agricultural community and stressed the need for urgent attention to their issues.
\n\u201cFarmers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are facing the same hardships including terrorism as those in other provinces,\u201d he said. \u201cTheir voices must be heard, and their grievances addressed without delay.\u201d
\nHe urged both federal and provincial authorities to take comprehensive measures to support farmers, including fair crop pricing, timely access to water and fertilizers, and relief from mounting debt burdens.
\nThe Governor attended a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Workers Convention in Rajoya Sadat, a locality in the Chiniot district of Punjab.
\nHis arrival was met with a warm and enthusiastic welcome from PPP district officials and devoted party workers.
\nHe acknowledged that while the people of Chiniot are fortunate to be free from the threats of terrorism and extortion, challenges remain for the working class.
\nHe praised the PPP\u2019s legacy of supporting farmers and laborers, saying, \u201cThe Pakistan Peoples Party has always raised its voice for the oppressed. Whenever the PPP comes to power, it creates job opportunities and stands with the working class.\u201d
\nGovernor Kundi also highlighted the party\u2019s past achievements in combating terrorism and managing internal displacement.
\n\u201cWe restored peace and handled mass migrations during our tenure, ensuring timely rehabilitation of those affected,\u201d he said.
\nCriticizing the exploitation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s natural resources, he remarked, \u201cElectricity and oil are extracted from our province, but are sold back to us at inflated prices.\u201d
\nHe also took aim at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, \u201cPTI leaders are now accusing each other of corruption calling one another thieves.\u201d
\nOther senior PPP leaders, including Syed Hassan Murtaza and Nadeem Afzal Chan, also addressed the convention, echoing calls for unity and reaffirming the party\u2019s commitment to serving the people of Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
