\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jihan has strongly condemned India\u2019s recent provocative actions and its baseless attempts to blame Pakistan for failing to protect its own citizens.
\nHe stated that such irresponsible behavior threatens regional peace and stability. He warned that while Pakistan remains a peace-loving nation, it prioritizes its national security and sovereignty above all else and will deliver a robust response to any Indian aggression.
\nIn a statement, the Minister described India\u2019s actions as politically motivated, legally indefensible and utterly reckless. \u201cInstead of scapegoating Pakistan, India must accept its own failures in ensuring the safety of its citizens,\u201d he emphasized.
\nTalking regarding the recent suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, Syed Fakhar Jihan labeled it a direct assault on Pakistan\u2019s water rights and a violation of international law.
\nHe added that India\u2019s unilateral decision to undermine it is highly irresponsible and escalates tensions in the region,\u201d he said.
\nHe further stated that such provocations, including incendiary rhetoric from Indian leadership, reveal India\u2019s aggressive agenda to destabilize the region. \u201cWhile Pakistan seeks peace, we reserve the right to take all necessary measures to defend our sovereignty and natural resources,\u201d he affirmed.
\nHighlighting past Indian misadventures, Syed Fakhar Jihan reminded that a strong and timely response was given under the leadership of Imran Khan\u2014an example that should serve as a lesson to India.
\nThe Minister also expressed grave concern over India\u2019s internal human rights situation, particularly the ongoing marginalization of minorities, especially Muslims. He criticized the forceblly passing of the Waqf Bill, calling it a deliberate move to further disenfranchise the Muslim community. \u201cThe backlash from within India against Prime Minister Modi\u2019s policies is a natural consequence of his oppressive governance. India must address its domestic crises instead of dragging Pakistan into its internal issues,\u201d he added.
