\nThe Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has strongly condemned India\u2019s threats to violate the Indus Water Treaty, terming it an act of water aggression against Pakistan and a grave provocation with far-reaching consequences.
\nPresident ICCI Nasir Mansoor Qureshi and Chairman Founder Group, Tariq Sadiq, in a joint statement issued on Saturday, declared that Pakistan\u2019s entire business community stands firmly united with the State and its armed forces to counter India\u2019s sinister designs.
\nThe ICCI leadership emphasised that the Indus Water Treaty is an internationally recognised agreement that India cannot unilaterally revoke or hold in abeyance. They termed India\u2019s hollow threats as a futile exercise aimed at domestic political consumption, asserting that such reckless moves will only tarnish India\u2019s reputation globally. They also warned that any unilateral action could erode India\u2019s trust among neighbouring countries like Bangladesh and Nepal, who to share critical river basins with India.
\nMoving beyond water aggression, the ICCI leaders denounced India\u2019s continuous attempts to sabotage regional peace and economic development by sponsoring terrorism and levelling false allegations against Pakistan. They criticised India for deflecting attention from its internal security failures and human rights violations through baseless propaganda against Pakistan.
\nReiterating their unwavering resolve, they assured full support for Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty and praised the nation\u2019s brave, professional, and highly motivated defenders. The ICCI stressed that Pakistan remains committed to peace but will respond with full diplomatic, moral, and, if necessary, military strength to any aggression.
\nThe world is watching, and history will judge those who choose hostility over harmony, the ICCI leadership concluded.
\nThe ICCI vehemently condemns this false flag operation and cautions the Indian leadership against pursuing such nefarious designs.
