\nAwami National Party (ANP) Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain has strongly condemned the deadly bomb blast in the Wana area of South Waziristan, which claimed seven lives, calling it a stark reminder of the worsening law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nIn a statement issued here on Monday from the party\u2019s headquarters Bacha Khan Markaz, ANP provincial president expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and shared the grief of the families of the victims.
\n\u201cPakhtunkhwa is once again in the grip of terrorism, and the surge in violent incidents has left citizens feeling unsafe and vulnerable,\u201d he said.
\nMian Iftikhar criticized both the federal and provincial governments, questioning their failure to ensure public safety. \u201cThe protection of people\u2019s lives and property is a constitutional and primary responsibility of the government. Why are the authorities failing in their basic duties?\u201d he asked.
\n\u201cThe deteriorating security situation raises serious questions about the performance of the government and its institutions.\u201d
\nHe further condemned the policy of resettling extremists, warning that such strategies have reignited violence in the province.
\n\u201cKhyber Pakhtunkhwa is burning once again because of the same flawed policies. The state must learn from its past mistakes to prevent a more disastrous future,\u201d he stressed.
\n\u201cThe Awami National Party has always raised its voice for peace and has made immense sacrifices for this cause. We remain committed to our history, the mission of our martyrs, and the protection of our people.
