\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Sahibzada Muhammad Adnan Qadri, has strongly criticized the Federal Hajj Administration for its poor planning and mismanagement, which he said has caused unnecessary distress and mental pressure for Hajj pilgrims from the province.
\nIn a special statement issued from his office, the provincial minister expressed serious concern over the difficulties being faced by the pilgrims. He said that it is the responsibility of the Federal Hajj Administration to provide one-window services for such a sacred and important obligation, but unfortunately, no practical steps are visible in this regard.
\nHe pointed out that pilgrims are first called to Haji Camp Peshawar for COVID-19 vaccination, then sent to Islamabad for passport verification, ticketing, and other documentation processes, and later summoned back to Peshawar. These unnecessary trips have become a source of great inconvenience for the pilgrims. Adnan Qadri further stated that there is no one to address the plight of the pilgrims from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nDespite multiple attempts to contact the Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, no response has been received. He remarked sharply that the Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs cannot evade responsibility by turning a blind eye like a pigeon.
\nHe added that if the federal administration\u2019s performance is nonexistent here in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one can only imagine the situation for pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
\nHe reminded that due to federal mismanagement, 67,000 people have already been deprived of the opportunity to perform Hajj \u2014 a deeply unfortunate and alarming development.
\nThe provincial minister demanded that the federal government immediately implement a one-window operation for Hajj arrangements to save the pilgrims from repeated travel, undue hardships, and unnecessary expenses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
