\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter of the All Pakistan Universities Employees Federation has called on the administration of the University of Agriculture Peshawar to address employees\u2019 longstanding demands without delay or face province-wide protests.
\nIn a statement issued on Friday, the federation\u2019s provincial president, Arbab Amir Khusro, said employees of the University of Agriculture have been staging a peaceful protest for the past month, but the administration has yet to take meaningful action.
\nHe warned that if the situation persists, protests would be launched in universities across the province, and the responsibility for any disruption would rest with the provincial government and the university administration.
\nKhusro said the ongoing protest has severely affected academic and administrative affairs at one of the province\u2019s oldest and largest educational institutions.
\nHe noted that basic cleanliness on campus has deteriorated to such an extent that students were now forced to clean facilities themselves.
\nThe disruption of office work, he added, is creating significant hurdles for students in obtaining degree certificates, document verifications, and addressing other essential matters.
\n\u201cAnxiety is growing among employees due to the administration\u2019s indifference. It is regrettable that instead of resolving the issues, the university\u2019s vice chancellor has taken retaliatory measures against the staff and refuses to engage in dialogue with their representatives,\u201d Khusro said.
\nThe federation urged the government and university leadership to intervene immediately to prevent further deterioration of the situation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
