\nSarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fazal Moqeem Khan called for full adherence with international compliance and regulations to enhance Pakistan\u2019s export across the world.
\nThe SCCI chief called for promoting sustainable, responsible, and competitive economic growth.
\nMoqeem Khan stated that compliance is not just a government mandate\u2014it is a shared responsibility between the public and private sectors,\u201d he said.
\nIt is essential to create a discrimination-free, ethically sound, and globally respected business ecosystem, he asserted.
\nFazal Moqeem Khan was speaking during a training and consultative session regarding compliance of Regulations and Standards of International Business organized by Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with National Compliance Centre (NCC), Ministry of Commerce here at the chamber house on Saturday.
\nThe session focused on aligning with international trade standards and fostering global partnerships, which attended by SCCI senior vice president Abdul Jalil Jan, members of the executive committee Sabir Ahmad Bangash, Saifullah Khan, former president Malik Zahid, Rashid Iqbal Siddiqui, Ms Qurtul Ain, Secretary General SCCI Muqtasid Ahsan, representative of Smeda, traders, industrialists and exporters and importers.
\nThe chamber president praised the Ministry of Commerce for the establishment of NCC, calling it a landmark initiative that institutionalizes a compliance culture in Pakistan.
\nHe emphasized that in today\u2019s interconnected economy, international compliance is vital for gaining access to global markets, building trust, and ensuring long-term growth.
\nThe SCCI chief appreciated the NCC for conducting such an informative session for the business community and expressed hope that traders will learn many things regarding global compliance and regulations that would help to improve Pakistan\u2019s export across the world.
\nEarlier, in his multimedia presentation, Dr. Nabeel Amin, Head of Compliance at the National Compliance Centre, and Thematic Expert OSH Asmatullah Khan briefed comprehensively participants on the NCC\u2019s roadmap and emphasized the pivotal role of Chambers of Commerce, trade associations, industry stakeholders, and SMEs in fostering a compliance-oriented business environment.
\nSpeakers highlighting NCC efforts to implement emerging compliance mechanisms, including the ESG framework, Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, and the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
