\nAyub as PAC chairman, says Aleema Khan

\nThe Peshawar High Court on Monday granted four weeks of protective bail to Aleema Khan, sister of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), during a hearing on her bail application.
\nThe hearing was conducted by a division bench comprising Justice Waqar Ahmed and Justice Farah Jamshed. Aleema Khan\u2019s legal counsel, Advocate Alam Khan Adenzai, informed the court that until Thursday, no case had been registered against her, and in previously filed cases, she had already secured bail.
\nHowever, he claimed that 42 new cases had been added to the supplementary list following Thursday, making it difficult for his client to appear in the relevant courts.
\nJustice Waqar Ahmed remarked that the petitioner should have appeared before the relevant courts despite the circumstances. Aleema Khan attempted to speak during the proceedings, but Justice Waqar responded that her lawyer was already presenting the case on her behalf.
\nOutside the court, Aleema Khan addressed the media, stating that she had come to Peshawar seeking protective bail after discovering in the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court that she had been nominated in 42 new cases. She said the charges were politically motivated and aimed at targeting the family of PTI\u2019s founder.
\nAleema Khan asserted that she had been traveling across the country to raise funds for Namal University and emphasized that no other family members of the PTI founder had been named in any cases. She also claimed that her family had been denied permission to meet the PTI founder for the past two weeks.
\n\u201cI have to bring my brother out of jail. This is our mission, and we will continue to pursue it,\u201d she said, announcing plans to visit Adiala Jail and approach the Islamabad High Court.
\nAleema Khan also relayed a message from the PTI founder, stating that he had directed Junaid Akbar to resign from the Public Accounts Committee, and had endorsed Omar Ayub as the committee\u2019s chairman.
\nShe also praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its response during recent tensions with India. She also highlighted the ongoing issue of Indian drones violating Pakistan\u2019s airspace and expressed concern over the situation in Kashmir, describing it as a struggle for freedom.
