\nMore than 50 water filter plants were dysfunctional out of 131 in the district of Badin, which has suffered thousands of people. Sindh Government took stern notice and Muhammad Saleem Baloch, Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Public Health Engineering and Rural Development Department Sindh has held an important meeting with officials of concerned departments, MPAs, and senior politicians in Darbar Hall Badin.
\nIn the meeting, Water Supply schemes, Water Filter plants, Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants and the drainage system of the district were discussed.
\nAccording to reports, more than 1.9 million populations of district out of which 500 thousand people in the district benefited from the filter plants, but dysfunctional and closed plants for many months have suffered citizens, and also it was feared that several diseases among the innocent kids and minors.
\nWhile addressing the officials of concerned departments, Muhammad Saleem Baloch, Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Public Health Engineering and Rural Development Department Sindh, has expressed that providing clean and potable drinking water to people of the province is the vision of the Pakistan People\u2019s Party.
\nAdding, he stated that on the directives of Chairman, Pakistan People\u2019s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, different visits to various districts of the province were being planned to review the progress of the concerned Departments in districts across Sindh.
\nOn the occasion, a detailed briefing was also provided by Govt officials of concerned department regarding water supply schemes, water filter plants, RO plants and drainage systems of Badin district.
\nDuring the briefing, several RO and water filter plants were identified to be closed due to lack of minor repairs.
\nMr. Baloch directed public health Department officials to improve their progress as public complaints against departments were increasing, adding that he assured that required funds would be provided for closed filter plants, RO plants and the drainage system of the district Badin.
\nHe expressed that the community of the relevant areas should also be included in the monitoring of these schemes so that they can identify the issues and also take care of the schemes.
\nChairman District Council attended the meeting and president of PPP, district Badin, Jam Ali Asghar Halipoto, MPA, Muhammad Ismail Rahu, MPA, Haji Taj Muhammad Mallah, MPA Mir Allah Bakhsh Talpur, Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development, MPA, Bibi Yasmeen Shah, Special Assistant to CM Sindh, MPA, Tanzila Ume Habiba Qambrani and other concerned officers were also present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
