\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will observe \u201cThanksgiving Day\u201d across the province on Friday (today).
\nThe government has decided to honor Pakistan\u2019s successful defense efforts, the valor of the armed forces, and the remarkable unity demonstrated by the people of Pakistan in response to recent Indian aggression.
\nAccording to a press release, the day will be marked across the province as a tribute to the sacrifices of the nation\u2019s martyrs and recognition of the collective resolve and resilience of the Pakistani people.
\nA series of solemn and dignified events are scheduled, reflecting themes of national gratitude, sacrifice, and unity.
\nAs part of the observance, special Quran Khwani and prayer sessions will be held in central mosques after Fajr prayers, where prayers will be offered for the elevation of the martyrs and for the country\u2019s lasting peace and security. The national flag will be hoisted at all government offices and public buildings after the prayers.
\nAt 10 a.m., all government offices and institutions will observe one minute of silence in honor of the armed forces and as an expression of solidarity with the nation.
\nThrough the coordination of the Auqaf Department, Friday sermons across the province will focus on themes of national unity, sacrifice, and gratitude.
\nSpecial ceremonies will also be organized to honor the martyrs and their families. These will include visits to the shrines of Nishan-e-Haider recipients and other decorated national heroes, where floral tributes and special prayers will be offered.
\nThe district administrations, government departments, and educational institutions have been instructed to organize formal ceremonies reflecting the solemnity of the occasion. Activities such as flag-hoisting events, national anthem recitations, and speech and essay competitions focused on patriotism and unity will be held in schools and colleges.
\nThe Department of Information and Public Relations will spearhead a province-wide media campaign. National flags and thematic banners will be displayed prominently at district headquarters, public squares, and major intersections, carrying messages of appreciation for the armed forces and the resilience of the Pakistani people.
