{"id":478945,"date":"2025-05-17T07:28:54","date_gmt":"2025-05-17T02:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=478945"},"modified":"2025-05-17T07:28:54","modified_gmt":"2025-05-17T02:28:54","slug":"kp-govt-approves-digital-payments-fintech-strategy-2025-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/kp-govt-approves-digital-payments-fintech-strategy-2025-2030\/","title":{"rendered":"KP govt approves \u2018Digital Payments\u2019, FinTech Strategy 2025\u20132030"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DLP Report<br \/>\nPESHAWAR<br \/>\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the first ever Digital Payments and FinTech Strategy 2025\u20132030, a major step towards financial inclusion and digital transformation in the province.<br \/>\nSpecial Assistant on Science and Information Technology, Dr Shafqat Ayaz, said that the comprehensive policy was developed in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB). \u201cThe strategy aims to deliver digital financial services directly to citizens, especially in underserved areas, over the next five years, he said.<br \/>\nThe provincial Digital Payments and FinTech Strategy 2025\u20132030 features include promotion of a province-wide e-payments system, expansion of modern financial tools like mobile banking and digital wallets, development of secure digital platforms for both businesses and consumers and support for FinTech startups to grow to international standards.<br \/>\nMr Ayaz described the policy as more than a technological shift but a vision to turn KP into a digitally empowered, transparent, and self-reliant province.
