\nThe Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated early discussions on central contracts for national players for the 2025-26 season, Geo Super reported on Sunday.
\nThis will be the concluding year of the three-year financial framework introduced under Zaka Ashraf\u2019s chairmanship in 2023.
\nAccording to sources, a major revamp of the centrally contracted players\u2019 list is unlikely, though minor adjustments within categories may be considered during the review process.
\nCricketers who deliver standout performances during the 2024-25 season could be rewarded with inclusion or promotion in the contract list.
\nPlayers like Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, and Faheem Ashraf, who were not part of last year\u2019s list, are under consideration for a comeback.
\nAdditionally, top domestic performers may be accommodated in Category D, particularly under the Emerging Players bracket.
\nThe current contracts are set to expire on June 30.
