Israel\u2019s PM vows no end until Gaza is entirely seized

\nIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel will take full control of the Gaza Strip, deepening fears of a prolonged conflict in the besieged territory.
\nIn a video posted on social media on Monday, Netanyahu said Israel \u201cwill not give up\u201d until it has captured \u201call the territory of the Strip,\u201d adding that the ongoing military operations would continue with intensity.
\n\u201cThe fighting is intense and we are making progress,\u201d Netanyahu said in a statement shared on X, formerly Twitter. \u201cBut in order to succeed, we must act in a way that cannot be stopped.\u201d
\nThe remarks follow a escalation in Israeli military operations, which have killed at least 103 people in fresh air strikes across Gaza. The largest hospital in northern Gaza was also forced to shut down due to damage and resource depletion.
\nIsrael has also called up tens of thousands of reservists as part of what appears to be a campaign aimed not only at pressuring Hamas to agree to a limited ceasefire, but also to maintain long-term control over the enclave
\nMoreover, Israel will allow a limited quantity of food into Gaza for the first time in 10 weeks, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s office, following mounting international pressure and growing fears of famine among the 2.1 million people trapped in the besieged enclave.
\nThe announcement came as Israel launched a new military assault, dubbed Operation Gideon\u2019s Chariot, involving what the Israel Defense Forces described as \u201cextensive ground operations\u201d across the Gaza Strip.
\nIsrael has maintained a total blockade on Gaza for the past 10 weeks, halting all deliveries of food, fuel and medicine. Humanitarian groups have repeatedly warned of a looming famine, with distressing images emerging of severely malnourished children.
\nIsraeli strikes on Sunday targeted several areas across Gaza, including Khan Younis in the south, and Beit Lahia and Jabalia in the north. The Hamas-run health ministry said at least 67 people were killed and 361 injured in the past 24 hours.
\nGaza\u2019s civil defence service said 22 people were killed in an overnight strike on the al-Mawasi displacement camp, a site previously marked as a \u201csafe zone\u201d. Over 100 others were reported injured.
\nIsrael air strikes cripple Gaza hospitals
\nHospitals continue to bear the brunt of the ongoing assault. According to health officials, three public hospitals in North Gaza are now out of service.
\nMedical staff at the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia reported IDF tanks firing at the facility late on Sunday night. At the time, 55 people were inside, including four doctors, eight nurses, and dozens of patients unable to move.
\nThe staff told the BBC there had been no prior warning or evacuation order. They denied there were any military targets in or near the hospital.
\nRoughly an hour after the shelling began, IDF troops reportedly pulled back from the area.
\nIsrael said its forces were targeting Hamas infrastructure in the vicinity of the hospital and denied intentionally attacking medical centres.
\nElsewhere in the north, the director of the al-Awda Hospital, Mohammed Salha, said a bombing near his facility caused significant damage. Al-Awda depends on the Indonesian Hospital for oxygen supplies and critical care.
\nMeanwhile, in the southern city of Khan Younis, two major hospitals \u2013 the Nasser Medical Complex and the European Hospital \u2013 were hit in earlier strikes.
\nNetanyahu\u2019s office said Israeli negotiators were exhausting \u201cevery possibility\u201d to secure a deal. Israel insists any agreement must include the release of hostages, the exile of Hamas leaders, and full disarmament in Gaza.
\nIsrael\u2019s war on Gaza
\nThe Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 53,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
\nThe International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
