\nSenior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser formally laid the foundation stone of the \u201cRasheeda Begum Sukh Sanjh Welfare Centre\u201d in Alamabad Welfare Town Nabi, Swabi.
\nThe centre is named after his mother, Rasheeda Begum, and is being established with the noble objective of women empowerment.
\nUnder the \u201cRasheeda Sukh Centre,\u201d women will be trained in entrepreneurship, computer skills, leadership, and other technical and professional competencies to help them become self-reliant and economically strong.
\nSpeaking at the ceremony, Asad Qaiser thanked former Air Chief Sohail Aman and renowned educationist Dr Shagufta Jabeen, whose efforts are turning the dream of Alamabad Welfare City into a reality.
\nHe paid tribute to the courage and bravery of the Pakistan Air Force and its significant role during the recent Pakistan-India tensions, stating, \u201cToday, we can proudly say to the world that we are Pakistanis.\u201d
\nIn his address, Asad Qaiser shared that during his first meeting with Sohail Aman, the latter had expressed a desire to bring two major projects to Swabi \u2014 Air University and Alamabad Welfare City. Although Air University was later shifted to Nowshera and is yet to be completed, the good news is that more than 50 percent of the work on Alamabad Welfare City has already been completed.
\nReferring to the successful \u201cRashidabad Town\u201d in Sindh, he said Alamabad Town would also become a model project of the same standard.
\nHe expressed his wish to establish an IT and Technical University in Swabi that would provide employment-oriented education.
\nTo achieve this goal, he has signed multiple memorandums of understanding with international universities.
