\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise and Taxation, Khaliq ur Rehman, has taken strict notice of the recent fire incident at the Excise Warehouse and has directed the Secretary and Director General of Excise to submit a detailed report from the inquiry committee at the earliest.
\nAccording to a press release issued here the provincial minister has emphasized the need for complete transparency and impartiality in the investigation, stating that the true causes of the incident must be brought to light.
\nHe expressed hope that the committee would carry out its work independently and without any external pressure.
\n\u201cIf human negligence is found to be a contributing factor, beyond the possibility of a high-voltage electrical fault, strict action will be taken against those responsible,\u201d the minister stated.
\nAcknowledging public concerns surrounding the incident, Khaliq La Rehman assured citizens that any evidence pointing to deliberate sabotage, conspiracy, or dereliction of duty would be dealt with under the full force of the law.
\nHe also urged the public not to give weight to unverified rumors circulating on social media, noting that it would be premature to draw conclusions before the completion of the official investigation.
\nReferring to speculation linking the fire with auction activities, the minister dismissed such claims as baseless. \u201cThere is no connection between the warehouse fire and the auction process. The administration handling auctions is responsible and has nothing to do with the incident,\u201d he said.
\nThe minister reiterated that ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity remains the top priority across all levels of the Excise Department. \u201cConcrete steps have been taken to rid the department of corruption and malpractice,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
