\nProvincial Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, has strongly criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, alleging rampant corruption, misgovernance, and a complete breakdown of administrative integrity in the province.
\nSpeaking to various party delegations at Watan Kor, Peshawar, Sherpao said, \u201cThere is no such thing as a functioning government in the province. It has become a hub of corruption, financial irregularities, malfeasance, and nepotism.\u201d
\nHe pointed to recent scandals, including the Kohistan corruption case and alleged irregularities in the province\u2019s free solar energy project, as clear evidence of what he described as the failure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial administration.
\n\u201cThe large-scale corruption in the solar project not only exposes the hollowness of PTI\u2019s transparency claims but also results in the misuse of public funds,\u201d Sherpao said.
\nHe added that the lack of oversight and accountability was undermining public trust and impeding genuine reform.
\nCriticizing the government\u2019s performance, Sherpao asserted that it had failed to curb corruption or protect the constitutional rights of the people and the province.
\n\u201cThose who came to power claiming to eliminate corruption are, in fact, promoting it in a systematic manner,\u201d he stated.
\nSherpao said that the provincial leadership had failed to uphold principles of merit, transparency, and good governance, and that internal rifts within the ruling party, marked by public allegations of corruption among senior ministers, further highlighted the extent of the dysfunction.
\n\u201cThe worsening political, economic, and financial crisis in KP clearly shows that the current leadership is incompetent and unfit to manage the affairs of the government,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
