Justice Muneeb Akhtar took oath as acting chief justice of Pakistan on Friday due to departure of Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi to Saudi Arabia for Hajj. Justice Jamal Mandokhail administered oath to acting chief justice. Judges, lawyers and supreme court officials attended the oath taking ceremony.<br \/>\nJustice Muneeb Akhtar is on 3rd number in seniority list<br \/>\nJustice Munib Akhtar will serve as Acting Chief Justice until June 6, 2025.
