{"id":482182,"date":"2025-06-01T09:07:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-01T04:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=482182"},"modified":"2025-06-01T09:07:00","modified_gmt":"2025-06-01T04:07:00","slug":"pakistan-aims-for-business-friendly-climate-to-lure-investors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/pakistan-aims-for-business-friendly-climate-to-lure-investors\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan aims for business-friendly climate to lure investors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD<br \/>\nSpecial Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan has reaffirmed that restoring the confidence of foreign investors is the government\u2019s top priority.<br \/>\nChairing a Prime Minister\u2019s Committees on Repatriation of Investment and Protection of Investment to advance Pakistan\u2019s pro-investment agenda, he emphasized the need for a secure and supportive business environment, said a news release here on Saturday.<br \/>\n\u201cRestoring the confidence of foreign investors is the government\u2019s foremost priority,\u201d Haroon said. \u201cTo attract sustainable investment, we must ensure that investors feel secure and supported in Pakistan.\u201d<br \/>\nThe meetings brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Ministry of Finance, Board of Investment (BOI), Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Remit, and other senior officials.<br \/>\nDuring the meetings, detailed discussions were held on policy proposals for facilitating the repatriation of foreign investment in the manufacturing sector.<br \/>\nMembers engaged in a comprehensive consultation regarding the safe return of investments and presented various legal and policy amendments to strengthen investor protection and boost investor confidence.<br \/>\nHaroon Akhtar Khan reiterated that increasing investment is a top priority under the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
