\nCommissioner Malakand Division Abid Wazir visited the office of Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Swat to review the sanitation and cleanliness arrangements.
\nDuring the visit, WSSC Swat CEO Tanveer-ur-Rehman gave a detailed briefing on the special Eid cleanliness plan, which includes the deployment of 628 personnel, 300 permanent employees and 328 outsourced staff, supported by 99 vehicles such as dumpers, tractors, shovels, and mini dumpers.
\nThe CEO highlighted that this year, WSSC Swat will extend its services beyond Neighborhood Councils (NCs) to 19 Village Councils (VCs) for the safe and efficient disposal of sacrificial animal waste.
\nTwo disposal pits have already been dug, with plans for three more. A dedicated control room and complaint cell will remain active throughout the three days of Eid to respond to any emergencies.
\nCommissioner Abid Wazir expressed satisfaction with the preparations and instructed the team to ensure timely and effective disposal of waste to maintain a clean environment.
\nHe commended WSSC Swat for its proactive efforts and expressed hope that the team would continue to perform efficiently.
\nThe Commissioner also visited the site of the Mingora Greater Water Supply Scheme, where he received a detailed briefing.
\nEmphasizing Swat\u2019s status as a major tourist destination, he directed that all main roads be cleared to facilitate visitors.
\nGM Operations Zeeshan Pervez assured him that major tourist routes had already been cleared, and work in remaining areas such as Saidu Sharif and local markets would be completed within two months.
