\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA), in collaboration with the World Bank-funded KP-SPEED project, has launched a three-day training workshop at the University of Malakand.
\nThe workshop aims to raise awareness about the newly introduced Electronic Procurement and Documentation System (E-PADS) software and the KPPRA Act and Rules among officers from Malakand and Lower Dir districts.
\nParticipants include officials from key departments such as Communication and Works (C&W), Irrigation, Local Government, Health, Higher Education, Public Health Engineering (PHED), Livestock, Elementary and Secondary Education, Food, Fisheries, Sports, and representatives from the University of Malakand.
\nThe purpose of the workshop is to provide comprehensive training on the KPPRA rules and regulations, introduce the E-PADS software, and ensure its effective implementation across public sector institutions. Speaking at the inaugural session, Dr. Amanullah, Director of the training, briefed participants on the objectives of the workshop. He emphasized that the training will equip officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement transparent and efficient procurement practices through the use of the new software.
\nHe further stated that the adoption of E-PADS will significantly improve transparency in public procurement and enhance institutional efficiency across government departments. Dr. Amanullah also mentioned that KPPRA is committed to undertaking further initiatives aimed at strengthening procurement systems in the province.
\nParticipants expressed appreciation for the training initiative, highlighting that the new software will simplify procurement procedures and ensure greater transparency in public sector purchasing. They thanked KPPRA for organizing the workshop and recommended that such capacity-building programs be held regularly.
