\nMALAKAND
\nSpecial Assistant to the Chief Minister on Forests, Environment, Wildlife and Climate Change, Pir Musawar Khan, visited Malakand on Thursday to inspect the ongoing operation to control the forest fire in the Kot Hazar Nau mountain range.
\nDuring the visit, he met with officials from the Forest Department, Rescue 1122, district administration, and local volunteers engaged in firefighting efforts.
\nHe lauded their dedication and hard work in conserving the region\u2019s forests under challenging conditions.
\nChief Conservator of Forests Malakand Region III Asghar Khan, Conservator Abid Mumtaz, and other senior officials were also present.
\nThe officials briefed the Special Assistant, informing him that the fire\u2014made difficult to control due to steep terrain, intense heat, and strong winds\u2014had largely been brought under control.
\nPir Musawar Khan emphasized that forest protection remained a top priority under the leadership of the Chief Minister.
\nHe assured that all available resources were being utilized and instructed concerned authorities to remain on-site until the fire was completely extinguished.
