{"id":484306,"date":"2025-06-15T09:57:37","date_gmt":"2025-06-15T04:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=484306"},"modified":"2025-06-15T09:57:48","modified_gmt":"2025-06-15T04:57:48","slug":"iaea-reports-radiation-at-irans-natanz-nuclear-site-after-israeli-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/iaea-reports-radiation-at-irans-natanz-nuclear-site-after-israeli-attack\/","title":{"rendered":"IAEA reports radiation at Iran\u2019s Natanz nuclear site after Israeli attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> UNITED NATIONS<br \/>\nThe International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed radiation and chemical pollution after Israeli attack on Iran\u2019s Natanz nuclear facility.<br \/>\nIAEA chief Rafael Grossi told the United Nations Security Council that the Israeli strike has damaged centrifuges at Natanz atomic facility.<br \/>\nHe said there were no indication of the impact on the underground enrichment halls at the Natanz, but attack on power supply may have damaged centrifuges.<br \/>\nThe IAEA report has pointed out radiological and chemical contamination inside the facilities at Iranian nuclear site highlighting the need of appropriate steps to control the contamination.<br \/>\nIsrael pounded Iranian nuclear sites, including its main underground uranium enrichment facility at Natanz in central Iran.<br \/>\nIsrael said it had damaged the facility\u2019s enrichment centrifuges but Iran said most of the damage was above ground and no casualties had been sustained.<br \/>\n\u201cMost of the damage is on the surface level,\u201d said Iran\u2019s Atomic Energy Organisation spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi.<br \/>\nHe said the damage to the Fordo and Isfahan nuclear sites was also only limited.<br \/>\nIsrael in a strike on Iran, targeted a missile depot in Asadabad, located in western Iran.<br \/>\nDespite growing global concern, Israel, backed by US military support, appears to continue its operations against Iran.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UNITED NATIONS The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed radiation and chemical pollution after Israeli attack on Iran\u2019s Natanz nuclear facility.
