\nThe Honourable Acting Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC), Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar has taken decisive action to uphold the rule of law by suspending recent unlawful directives and actions taken by certain officials of the Ministry of National Food Security & Research against Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali, Chairman Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
\nThe Court stressed the importance of adhering to legal procedures and maintaining the autonomy of public institutions, particularly in matters involving high-level appointments and administrative authority. Importantly, under Section 9(1) of the PARC Ordinance, 1981, the Chairman PARC is appointed by the President of Pakistan, who holds the constitutional authority to make such appointments
