\nThe Punjab government has decided to impose Section 144 across the province in view of security during Muharram.
\nThere will be a ban on displaying all types of weapons and flammable materials in public places without the permission of the competent authority.
\nA complete ban has also been imposed on provocative slogans and gestures that inflame public sentiments, beliefs and sects.
\nStatements and comments that incite sectarian or racial hatred through any means or device will also be banned.
\nConstruction of trench on the roofs of houses or other buildings located on the procession routes will not be allowed.
\nA ban has been imposed on collecting stones, bricks, bottles or garbage on the roofs of buildings located on the procession routes.

\nPillion riding will be banned except for senior citizens, women and law enforcement officials.
