\nBilawal reminded that during the PPP\u2019s previous tenure in government, his party had made it a priority to address the longstanding sense of deprivation in South Punjab. \u201cWe ensured, year after year, that South Punjab received nearly 30% of the development budget, in line with its rightful share,\u201d he added.
\nHe acknowledged that despite their efforts, this demand could not be materialized during the current budget cycle due to certain limitations. \nBilawal \u201cIf our own farmers are unable to produce, the government ends up buying from abroad in dollars, benefitting foreign farmers instead. We must protect our own. This is economic survival \u2014 not just for farmers, but for the entire nation.\u201d
