\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour, Fazal Shakoor Khan has said the provincial government is making concrete efforts to ensure the provision of facilities and the well\u2011being of labourers.
\nHe emphasized that the rights of the labour force will be safeguarded, and no one will be allowed to deprive or exploit workers rights.
\nHe expressed these views while presiding over a meeting at his office of Workers\u2019 Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Monday. The meeting was attended by WWB director Administration Saifullah Zafar, deputy director administration Shoaib and other concerned officers.
\nDuring the meeting, key issues were discussed, including the transparent and merit\u2011based allocation of quarters within labour colonies, the eviction of illegal occupants, and the removal of encroachments.
\nThe provincial labour minister said that the working class plays a pivotal role in the economic development and stability of the province.
\n\u201cWe cannot ignore the hard\u2011working labourers,\u201d he said and added that the protection of workers\u2019 rights and the provision of necessary facilities are among the provincial government\u2019s top priorities.
\nHe maintained that action will be taken against those who are illegally residing in the labour colonies while vacated quarters will be allotted to deserving workers through a fair and transparent process.
\nHe further said that various measures have been implemented to increase department\u2019s revenue and improve overall performance. He pointed out that the recent auctioning of shops located within labour colonies at market rates has significantly boosted the department revenue.
\nHe added that ongoing reforms within the department will soon yield positive and long\u2011term results.
\nHe issued directives to the officers to further intensify efforts aimed at improving workers\u2019 welfare and strengthening the department\u2019s performance to better serve the working class.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
