\nThe Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) is gearing up for the inaugural Women\u2019s Blind Cricket World Cup, scheduled to take place in India and Nepal in November.
\nTo prepare for this prestigious event, a training camp for national women players will be held from July 3 to 13 in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
\nTalking to APP, the PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah, said a total of 36 women players from across the country have been invited to participate in the training camp. From these, 20 players will be selected, and a 16-member team will be announced in October, he said.
\nThe World Cup will feature teams from six countries, including Pakistan, India, Nepal, England, Australia, and the United States. Pakistan\u2019s matches will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the possibility of semifinals and finals also being played in Nepal if the team advances.
\nShah highlighted the team\u2019s recent tour to Australia, where they played a series that ended in a draw. Despite only two matches being played due to rain, the experience was valuable for the players. He expressed hope that the national women\u2019s team will perform well in the World Cup and achieve success.
\nShah was also of the view that Pakistan has been actively promoting blind cricket globally, having started the sport in Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
\nPakistani coaches have trained players in these countries, and Afghan players also participated in the World Cup held in Pakistan last year, he said.
\nHe said Pakistan\u2019s national blind cricket team is currently ranked number one in the world in one-day and T20 formats, demonstrating Pakistan\u2019s leadership in blind cricket worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
