\nA mass marriage ceremony was held on Tuesday under the auspices of the Zakat, Ushr, and Social Welfare Department, where 164 poor and orphan couples were married in the district.
\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Social Welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah, the chief guest at the ceremony, praised the provincial government\u2019s efforts, calling the initiative a \u201cpractical proof\u201d of the government\u2019s commitment to supporting orphans and destitute people.
\nHe stated that such mass marriages were being organized throughout the province under this mission.
\nThe ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Labor Fazal Shakoor Khan, Members of the Provincial Assembly Arshad Khan Umarzai and Iftikhar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Qaiser Khan, Chairman Provincial Ushr and Zakat Imtiaz Khan, District Chairman Muzammil Khan, Assistant Commissioner Charsadda, and officials from various departments.
\nMinister Qasim Ali Shah highlighted this as a revolutionary initiative by the KP government, designed to make marriage easier for poor and orphaned youth. Under the vision and special instructions of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the government covers all marriage-related expenses for these couples.
\nAdditionally, the Social Welfare Department will provide interest-free loans up to Rs 500,000 to newly married couples, helping them start their own businesses. The minister also announced plans for an orphan card scheme that offers Rs 5,000 monthly support to widows and their children, and education cards providing Rs. 5,000 to disabled individuals.
\n\u201cCharsadda has always been a stronghold of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),\u201d the minister said, adding that the party founder\u2019s vision has always focused on the welfare of the poor and needy.
\nThe ceremony concluded with the distribution of Rs. 200,000 checks by the provincial minister to the newlywed couples, congratulating them on their new beginnings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
