A most wanted accused of the three years old rape-cum- murder case of a 9 year old child was killed in a shootout with police in the Wah Cantt area.
\nAccording to the Rawalpindi Police spokesman, the accused, along with his accomplice, opened fire on a Wah Cantt Police team.
\nThe accused, identified as Rizwan Khan alias Budha was killed in the retaliatory fire by the police while his accomplice escaped while firing.
\nThe spokesman said the accused Budha was wanted in the rape and murder case of a 9-year-old child 3 years ago. The child with his brother had left their house in the Wah Cantt area and later his body was found in the fields.
\nAccording to the post-mortem report and forensic evidence, the child was murdered after being raped.
\nThe spokesman said the child\u2019s blind murder remained a mystery and the arrest of the accused involved was a challenge for the Rawalpindi Police.
\nThe Rawalpindi Police had been continuously investigating the case for the last 3 years and found solid evidence that the accused Budha had killed the child after committing abuse.
\n Many special teams were working on the case to arrest the accused.
\nSenior police officers reached the spot on information about the incident. Meanwhile, a search was on to arrest the absconding accused.
