He expressed deep concern over the reported deaths of at least 20 children at the District Headquarters Hospital in Pakpattan due to inadequate medical facilities and the absence of timely treatment.<br \/>\nBarrister Dr. Saif stated that this tragic incident highlights serious shortcomings in Punjab\u2019s healthcare system. He noted that, despite the gravity of the situation, no action has been taken against any responsible officials in Punjab, which he termed a clear case of administrative negligence.<br \/>\nIn comparison, he said, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, responded promptly to the Swat incident by suspending six officials, including the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and the District Rescue Officer. A formal inquiry committee has been constituted, and investigations are underway to determine responsibility and ensure appropriate disciplinary measures.<br \/>\nDr. Saif further stated that public hospitals across Punjab are facing shortages of essential medicines, medical equipment, and trained staff.
