Speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, he termed the incident a \u201cdeep-rooted conspiracy\u201d against his family.<br \/>\nSenator Afridi rejected the police and administration\u2019s claim that a gas explosion caused the incident, asserting that there was no gas facility at the site. He claimed a highly flammable liquid chemical, commonly found in the area, could have triggered the explosion when exposed to fire or a cigarette in a closed room.<br \/>\nHe said the explosion occurred just 15 minutes after Abbas Afridi entered the guest room. Abbas sustained critical injuries and succumbed the following day.<br \/>\nThe senator further revealed that on the same night, his other son, Amjad Afridi, was arrested along with household staff.
