\nThe player list, seedings and draws have been announced ahead of this month\u2019s World Squash Junior Championships as 234 of the world\u2019s best squash talents aged under 19 prepare to head to Egypt for a chance to earn the title of World Champion.
\nThe individual championships are taking place from July 21 to 26 at Cairo\u2019s Black Ball Sporting Club, with the team event following at the same venue from July 27 to August 1, said a press release.
\nHeadlining the draws in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s events are home duo Amina Orfi and Mohamad Zakaria.
\nCairo-born Orfi, aged 18 and already women\u2019s World No.5, is aiming to make history by becoming the first player to win the competition four times after lifting the title in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
\n17-year-old men\u2019s World No.14 Zakaria of Alexandria, meanwhile, will be aiming to defend the title he won last year in Houston, when he became the youngest ever male World Squash Junior Champion with victory over Republic of Korea\u2019s Jooyoung Na.
\nJoining Orfi and Zakaria in the top seeded positions are six of their compatriots.
\nIn the men\u2019s event, Marwan Asal \u2013 younger brother of current World No.1 and reigning World Champion Mostafa \u2013 and Eiad Daoud have been made 3\/4 seeds, while in the women\u2019s event Nadien Elhammamy and Janna Swaify are 3\/4 seeds and Malika Elkaraksy and Sohayla Hazem are 5\/8 seeds.
\nCompleting the seedings in the men\u2019s event are last year\u2019s finalist Na, who has been made No.2 seed, while the 5\/8 seeds are US duo Christian Capella and Alexander Dartnell, Pakistan\u2019s Abdullah Nawaz and Malaysia\u2019s Low Wa-Sern.
\nIn the women\u2019s event, India\u2019s Anahat Singh is at No.2 seed, while France\u2019s Lauren Baltayan and Hong Kong, China\u2019s Ena Kwong are the 5\/8 seeds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
